These steps are for CoolFocus 5.
"Monthly donors" can mean two different groups. Pick the one you mean:
Donors with an automatic monthly gift through CoolPay: see the first section.
Donors who give most months on their own, by check, cash, or online: see the second section.
Donors with an automatic CoolPay gift
Open Reports, expand CoolPay, and click Current Recurring Donations.
The report shows every recurring gift that's active, not paused, and not cancelled. Dashboard counts them by Frequency. Switch to Data to see each gift's Donor Name, Amount, Frequency, and Next Payment Date.
Click Save as Segment to keep the list, or Export for a spreadsheet.
This shows one row per gift, and only gifts set up through CoolPay. For a donor list you can mail or email, go to Give → All Donors, click Filter, choose Recurring Contributions, then Filter by recurring contributions fields..., pick Frequency, choose Contains, and type monthly.
Donors who give most months on their own
Go to Give → All Donors and click Filter.
Choose Contributions. Under Count conditions, choose Count of contributions....
Set Condition to greater or equal. In Value, type the number of gifts, for example 10, so a monthly giver who missed a month or two still counts. Click Apply.
Click the arrow on the new filter to open its sub-filters, then click Add filter.
Choose Date Received, then Less than..., and type 365. This counts only gifts from the last year, and it moves forward on its own.
Optional: click Add filter again and choose Refunded, then No / Unchecked, so refunded gifts don't count.
Click Save as segment, type a Segment Name (for example Gave 10+ times in the last year), and click Save Segment.
Add the date and refund conditions inside the Contributions filter, as in steps 4–6. If you add them as separate filters, the count includes every gift the donor ever made.
Good to know
This counts gifts, not months. Ten gifts in three months still counts. CoolFocus 5 doesn't have a "gave every month" filter yet, like the CoolFocus 3 Monthly Donors report had. If you need that, tell us and we'll pass it on.
Contributions counts the donor's own gifts. To include gifts credited to them, choose Contributions (Direct or Soft Credit) in step 2.
Quarterly givers: use 4 in step 3.
