These steps are for CoolFocus 5. CoolFocus 3 closes on January 31, 2027.
Your scheduler got simpler. Open times are now right on your calendar, and your location's hours are the only availability setting. You spend less time in settings and more time with the family in front of you.

What moved where
Hours are on the location now: Settings → Scheduler → Locations, then the Hours tab. Old links to the availability screens bring you here. See Location Hours and Closed Time.
Appointment types have three tabs: Basics, Online and After booking. The When and How many at once tabs are gone. "How many at once" is now how many openings you put at that time.
Closed days and blocks are one thing: closed time. See Location Hours and Closed Time.
Open times from CoolFocus 3 show as openings. If there are some to answer, a card on the Scheduler asks once. See Your CoolFocus 3 Open Times in CoolFocus 5.
Locations chips are at the top of the right-hand filter sidebar on the Calendar. Click a chip to turn a location on or off.
Create is one button now. Its panel has the tabs Appointment, Opening, Block and Class.
What your team will notice
Dotted, faded cards on the calendar are openings. Solid cards are booked.
A stack of openings at one time reads 9am · 3 open.
Clients booking online pick from your openings. Staff can book any time inside your hours, with or without an opening.
A thin band down each day shows the location's hours.
What CoolFocus 3 users see
Nothing new. An opening is an empty appointment in CoolFocus 3, and a booking is a client typed into it, as always. The one difference: after someone changes a whole repeating series in CoolFocus 5, CoolFocus 3 can still book or remove its times one by one, but can't change the series all at once.
Common questions
Do I have to do anything?
No. Nothing is deleted or rebuilt. If an Open times card appears, answer it once so clients can book those times online.
Why can't a client book a time I can book?
She can only book openings. Add one. See Why Can't I Book This?.
Where did buffers, daily limits and positions go?
They no longer limit booking. Capacity is the number of openings you add.
